William "Bill" Laggan

Age 78

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of  William “Bill” Laggan, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 78. Bill was surrounded by his beloved family and friends, just as he wished.

Beloved husband to his wife Nancy of 50 years; devoted father to his daughter Sherri Daniels (Lincoln) and sons David Laggan (Summer) and Bobby Laggan (Jen). He found great pride and joy in being a grandfather to Brody, Aubrey, Avianna, Chloe, Max, and Hailey. Dear son of the late Alma and James Laggan; caring brother to Jim and Joyce Laggan; beloved Uncle of Kevin (Elizabeth), Kim (Brandon), Brett (Christy), Jamie (Adam), Michael (Jen), Joey Schmidt, and Tony Schmidt (Jenna).

His legacy of love, family, and friendship will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Bill’s family and friends meant the world to him, and he was truly the life of any party. Known for his charm, humor, and love of bowling and fishing, he filled every room with laughter and created countless cherished memories for all who knew him.

His strength and courage throughout his battle with pancreatic cancer was a testament to his fighting spirit, inspiring all those around him. Bill’s passing leaves a void that will never be filled, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve in honor of Bill’s legacy and his courageous fight. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Family will receive friends at Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., with a prayer service to conclude the visitation.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, OH 44142 on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10 a.m. (Please meet at cemetery entrance.)
