Passed away on August 22, 2025
Beloved husband of LaVerne (nee Betor); devoted father of Janice Pagano (Nick), Jim Ameen (Sonia), and Karen Freedman (Mark); loving grandfather “Jidu” of Nicholas, Colton, Jason, the late Jimmy, Jessica, Jannabel, Chelsey and Lauren; great grandfather and godfather to many; dear brother of Lillian, Dolly, Hank, and Philip.
Born in Cleveland to Najib and Badia Ameen. He attended St. George Orthodox Church, W. 14th St. and Starkweather Ave., Cleveland, Ohio. Owner of the Headliner Cafe on Superior Ave. in Cleveland, Ohio for many years. Enjoyed Cleveland sports teams and was an U.S. Army veteran. Bill was always the life of the party, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the love he gave so freely.
Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. Trisagion Service Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Church 2587 West 14th Street, Cleveland, OH 44113, with Funeral Services at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Theodosius Cemetery.
