Age 73
Dearly beloved companion of Jean Bonham. Steve is survived by Jean’s loving children: Andrew, Brett, and the late Jeffrey; loving son of Steve Sekerak and Katherine Sekerak (nee Juzefczyk) (both deceased); dear brother of John Sekerak (Linda), MaryAnn Hinckley (Edward), Joseph Sekerak (Maureen), and the following deceased: Deborah Sekerak and Peter Sekerak; survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and his many friends.
Steven was a meat cutter/manager at Giant Eagle for over 35 years and he also was a part-time fireman for the City of Seven Hills for over 25 years. He was affectionately known as “Wally” to his friends at the City of Seven Hills Fire Department.
Steven played Santa Claus for his family and all his friends at the City of Seven Hills for many years.
Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 3 - 7 p.m. Parastas Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
Services under the direction of Dormition of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church with Divine Liturgy being held at Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, 5500 W. 54th Street, Parma, OH 44129 on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 10 a.m. (Please meet at Holy Spirit Church)
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
