Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Birdsell) for 73 years; loving father of Sue Bailey (Russ) and Steve Sovizral (Carolyn), and infant John (deceased); grandfather of Maria Salamon (Joseph) and Nicole Sovizral; great grandfather of Gabriel, Caleb, Leah, Hannah, and Ariella; dear brother of Frank Sovizral (Kathy), John Sovizral (Dee) (both deceased), Sophie Santon (Jim, deceased), Joe Sovizral (Rose) (both deceased), Mary Lane (Albert) (both deceased), Jean Engle (Duke), George Sovizral (deceased) (Bobbie, surviving), and Helen Sanka (Howie, deceased), uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4170 N. Amber Drive, Brooklyn, OH 44144 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
