Beloved husband of Helen (nee Hicks); loving father of Veronica A. Newsome (Eric), Kimberly Conti (John), and Kevin Hester (Nilda); dear grandfather of David R. Burgess (Amber), Desiree Mullins (Zaid), Dominique Gilbert (Nate), Devon Conti, Francesca Conti, Gianna Conti, Giovanni Conti, Ariana Hester, Kylie Hester, Kristian Hester, and Ava Hester; devoted great grandfather of Arianna, Addy, Toby, Theo (Gilbert), and Levi (Mullins); also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

He served in the U.S. Army and was awarded several medals for his valor.

Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 4 - 8 p.m. Prayer Services Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 3114 Scranton Rd., Cleve., OH  44109 at 11 a.m.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
