Robert John Wittine

Robert John Wittine, age 69, was called to eternal rest on July 4, 2022.

Robert – a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, godfather, grandfather, and friend was born to John and Erna Wittine in Cleveland, OH, on March 7, 1953. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1971 and almost immediately began his lifelong career with PPG Industries.

Robert was blessed with a loving family. He met his wife Patricia (Pat) in 1970; they began dating and married on October 2, 1976. Their romance lasted 45 years and was blessed with three wonderful sons and four grandchildren.

Through the years, Robert worked tirelessly to raise and provide for his family. He loved his city and enjoyed Cleveland sports, camping, fishing, gardening, music, and spending time with his family.

Robert retired from PPG after a 42-year dedicated career. He then turned his attention to traveling with his beloved wife and making memories with the grandkids with numerous outings and overnight adventures.

Robert was predeceased by his father, John, father-in-law Joseph, mother-in-law Dorothy, and sister-in-law, Michelle.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; their children John (Andrea), Matthew (Carla), and Thomas (Rita); four grandchildren, Damion, Kayla, Adaline, and Harrison; his mother, Erna, and sisters Herta (Jim), and Ingrid (Rich).

The family will receive visitors at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4170 N. Amber Drive, Brooklyn, OH 44144 on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 9 - 10 AM.

All are welcome to join in the funeral mass beginning at 10 AM.
