Age 77

Richard passed away suddenly on October 14, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Naissef and Rita Courey. Beloved husband of 57 years to Yin Tze Courey. Loving father to Susie Beard (Deryck) and Julie Courey La Nasa (Dan Logan). Dearest papa to Jessica, Samantha, and Sydney. Close brother to Sharon Selapack (Fred) and Lucille Courey-Kincaid. Respected Uncle, Godfather, and Cousin.

Richard was honored and proud to have served as a Corpsman in the Navy.

He was a retiree of the Cardiac Thoracic Unit of the Cleveland Clinic.

Richard was loved by all who met him. Throughout his life, Richard never lost his sense of humor and love of life.

Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 2 - 6 p.m.

Private Entombment with Military Honors will be held at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
