Paul Emil Vondrak, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on October 4th in Medina, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio he grew up and lived in Parma Heights, Ohio most of his life. He was a 1972 graduate of Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights, Ohio.
His employment included Republic/LTV Steel for over 28.5 years until the mill closed. During his later years at LTV Steel, Paul was in charge of ordering, maintaining, managing and providing fire and safety equipment. He led and assisted with numerous fundraisers to benefit the Coats for Kids Program while working at LTV Steel.
Paul was also a devoted coach to the Parma Heights Girls Recreational Summer Softball Program for more than 10 years in the 1990’s. He coached more than 100 athletes during those years as well as led multiple teams to championship seasons!
But, it wasn’t just softball he was passionate about; he was also an avid collector of antiques and U.S. Military Memorabilia over the years. He loved reading history books and collecting. Paul enjoyed flea markets, antique shows, classic cars, movies and so much more!
Most of all, he loved spending time and making memories with his beloved grandchildren. Each child was special to him, and he loved to tease them all! He was a loving Papa who wanted the world for them. He was also a loving and devoted father to his daughter, Christina and numerous cherished family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina (James); grandchildren: Jacqueline, Katherine, Elizabeth, and “Jimmy” James. He was proceeded in death by his parents: Emil and Lou Emma Vondrak.
Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2 - 4 p.m.
