Mildred “Millie” (Talpas) Pachuta

Age 98

Beloved wife of Michael (deceased); loving mother of Kathleen Kozik (David) and Marlene Cerny (Don); cherished grandmother of Lisa McCarthy (Brian), Jennifer Cerny, and Craig Cerny (Angelina); adoring great grandmother of Olivia and Andrew Cerny; devoted daughter of Steve and Frances Talpas (both deceased); dear sister of Edward Talpas (Charlotte) (both deceased), Genevieve Ocepek (Ted, deceased), and Richard Talpas (deceased) (Susan, surviving); dear aunt of many nieces and nephews as well as a host of many good friends.

Millie loved to share traditional Slovak foods for holidays and has passed on her pirohy and halupki recipes to her grandchildren. She was a long-time volunteer with the Right to Life organization. Millie was a gifted seamstress who created lovely outfits for her daughter as well as their dolls. Most of all, she spent joyful hours with her family playing scrabble and “31”, as well as poker with “the guys” at Danbury Assisted Living.

Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 2 - 7 p.m.

Prayer Services Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
