Mary H. (Kopcak) Sekerak

Mary H. Sekerak (nee Kopcak) age 96, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, February 10, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her parents of the late Niklos & Mary Kopcak.  Mary was a devoted wife of the late John G. Sekerak Jr.  Mary was a loving mother to Robert (Linda), Gayle Maltarich (Robert), and David (Roberta/Robin); Mary had four grandchildren: Brian, Michael Maltarich (K. J.), Eric Maltarich (Melissa), and Kristen Reed (Chris). She was very proud of the people her children and grandchildren had become.  Mary also had six great-grandsons and enjoyed spending time with them. Watching videos and looking at pictures of them brought her great joy towards the end of her life. Mary was fortunate to have her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and her many nieces and nephews as a part of her family.  Mary was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where she spent her life and built her community.  She retired from Metro Hospital having worked in the department of Comprehensive Care. She enjoyed volunteering with friends at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church.  Mary was a wonderful person, she was loved and she will be missed.

Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral Services will begin at 12 noon.

Interment will follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery.
