Kenneth K. Kalas

age 76
Dearly beloved husband of Catherine (nee Hudak); devoted son of Matt and Rita Kalas (both deceased); brother of Ron Kalas and Sharon Reuder (Bob); dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Ken was the beloved friend of John Polt since 2nd grade. They bonded over eating paper and paste and have been best friends ever since.

Ken’s greatest joy in life was catching perch and walleye on Lake Erie. In his honor have a fish fry and a shot!

He went to nursing school midlife and was employed at The Holy Family Home for 18yrs. Ken was a meticulous nurse helping many people who were dying. He wanted to die himself in the loving care of The Holy Family Home. Ken’s wish came true.

All services at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church, 8111 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Visitation from 10-11 a.m., with Divine Liturgy to be held at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the discretion of the family or to The Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Road Parma, OH 44134
