Josephine Luchison, 88 years old, of Parma, Ohio, passed away on May 8th, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1938 to Amelia and Dominic Agostinelli. Josephine was one of seven children. She had four sisters and two brothers. She lived a full life surrounded by a large blended family and many friends. Josephine was an incredible chef and crocheter. She was most recently known as “Bakery Jo” in the community in which she lived for the last year and a half.
Josephine was famous for her Cavatelli, homemade pizza, and biscotti. She made Italian Christmas cookies every year! She'd even mail them across the country when necessary. She was a very dedicated mother and grandmother and was known for bringing the family together to share a meal whenever possible. She was a caretaker and dedicated her life to serving others.
Josephine was deeply religious and attended Catholic mass every Sunday for the majority of her life. She loved everyone and was a friendly face to all throughout her entire life.
Besides her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her four children, Vincent Pellegrini, in 1978, as well as her late husband, Vincent Luchison, in 2024, to whom she was married for 30 years. Josephine was also preceded in death by her siblings Jimmy, Annie, Florence, and Mary, as well as her daughter, Linda Palombaro, and grandson, Vincent Centofanti.
She is survived by her sister, Amelia Agostinelli, and her brother, John Agostinelli, as well as her three remaining daughters: Marijo Mortaro, Doreen Pellegrini, and Maria (Pete) Pacalo. She is also survived by her late husband’s children, Margaret Tacsik and Vincent Luchison II. Due to having such a lovely blended family, she is survived by many grandchildren and great children on both sides.
There will be a Catholic Mass held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 1254 Grandview Road, Lake Milton, OH 44429 at 11:00 a.m.
