Dearly beloved wife of John T. Szopo (deceased); loving stepmother of J.T. Szopo (fiancée Cara McGregor)(Amy Voegerl) and Steve Szopo; dear grandmother of Joshua, A.J., and Sean Ryan; dearest friend of Sr. Patrick Marie Walsh, OSU; dear sister of Joan Novak (Lawrence, deceased) and Jim Janchar (Sue Flowers); dear aunt of Daniel Novak (Christi) and David Novak (deceased); dearest great aunt of Isabella Novak and Jordan Pagano; dear friend of many.
Jacki was a devoted parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Parma for many years. She prepared meals for the parish priests at the church rectory for over 35 years. Jacki was a member of the St. Charles Ladies Guild as well as a member of the church’s Bell Choir.
Jacki spent her life helping others. She was a kind, considerate, and spiritual person who was always there for those in need. Whether they needed shelter in her home during difficult times, or simply needed a compassionate ear that would listen, Jacki was there to help without judgment.
Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 3 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning, October 2, 2024 from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
Prayer Services at the funeral home will begin Wednesday morning at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Road, Parma OH 44129, at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions in Jacki’s name to St. Charles Borromeo Church or Regina Health Center, 5232 Broadview Road, Richfield OH 44286-9608.
