JOHN CLARK Obituary

Age  94. Beloved husband of LaVerne (nee Mitro); loving father of Jeffrey M. Clark (Cathy) and the following deceased: John R. Clark and  James P. Clark; dear grandfather of Grace and Olivia; brother of Virginia Schultz and the following deceased: Lois Salado, Joseph and Carol Clark; dear uncle.

US Marine Corps, Veteran WWII.

Jack was born December 6, 1926 to John and Emily Clark.  Upon graduation in 1945 he entered into the Marine Corps, serving security detail in Washington DC as WW II came to an end.  Jack married LaVerne, the love of his life, on October 10, 1953 and together they lovingly raised "my 3 sons", as he fondly called them.  Jack had a long career in surveying, drafting and civil engineering, working both for Cuyahoga County and at the engineering firm Slabe and McKay.

Jack was an avid sportsman, especially golf, where he attained 2 holes in one.  He was a 50 year member of the Cleveland Industrial and the Cuyahoga County golf leagues.  He loved perch & walleye fishing on Lake Erie, and also enjoyed rabbit and deer hunting.

Jack was a fun-loving, happy and genuine person with a strong devotion to the Lord. He deeply loved his family, including his daughter-in-law and grandkids. His friendships lasted a lifetime, and it was often said, "Everyone loves Jack!"  He will be missed by many who have been blessed by his presence in their lives.
