Passed away on June 17, 2025. Beloved son of George and Rita Marhefka (nee LeClaire) (both deceased); loving brother of Alan G. Marhefka (deceased) (Sharon, nee Thompson, surviving); dear uncle of Lisa Rae McDougal (nee Marhefka) (Travis) and Christopher Kolin; great uncle of Lucie Rae McDougal and Dylan McDougal; Godfather of Alfred Kunz.
Born May 26, 1947 at St. Alexis Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Glen was a longtime resident of Parma from 1958 until his passing. He became a member of St. Charles Church (Parma) and graduated from Parma High School in 1965, earning membership in the National Honor Society. Glen then attended The Ohio State University earning a B.A. in U.S. History in 1969 and membership in Phi Alpha Theta, a National History Honorary. He later became a life member of the O.S.U. Alumni Association.
Never Married, Glen was an Industrial Engineer for 11 years before he spent 21 years as a U.S. Postal Employee, retiring in 2007. His lifelong interests included the outdoors and environmentalism (owner of 125 mostly wooded acres in Ashtabula County), numismatics, table tennis, and the stock market. Glen wished the same wonderful life to his surviving family members and to the many extraordinary friends who touched his life.
Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 3 – 7 p.m.
Funeral Services Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
