Elizabeth (Vargo) Behrend “Betty”

Age 87.

Beloved mother of Valerie Hall (Carl), Vivian Palmer (Randy), Victoria Flores (Joseph), and Vanessa Ellis (Robert); loving grandmother of Peter Armstrong Jr., Jason Armstrong (deceased), Jonathon Palmer, Leanne Palmer, Anthony Flores, and Elizabeth Rose; dear great grandmother of Peter Armstrong III, Savannah Flores, Collin Flores, Malyia Flores, Thomas Armstrong, Jaxton Flores, and Addison Rose; dearest sister of Ronald Vargo and the late Irma Szabo; dear step great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Betty was an outstanding cook and looked forward to hosting family parties. She loved her animals, water aerobics and in recent times enjoyed physical therapy at the nursing home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the Hungarian Reformed Church Hall, 15300 Puritas Avenue, Cleveland, OH  44135.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Parma Animal Shelter, American Heart Association, or to benefit breast cancer research.
