Age 90
Beloved husband of Jane for over 60 years; brother of the following deceased: Gizella Gallo, Steve Kolesar, Jr., Emma Heringes, John E. Kolesar, Olga Kolesar, Margaret Hadick, and Rudy Kolesar; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Don’s work career included working on the bottling line at Standard Brewery, for Cuyahoga County as an Appraiser, and as a Title Officer for the Approved Title Company. Outside of work he and his wife enjoyed traveling together to places such as Hawaii, Puerto Vallarta, Miami Beach, Myrtle Beach, Palm Springs, and Branson to name a few.
Don was also an avid golfer who made three hole-in-ones during his golfing career. He also enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and fishing from the shore of their cottage in Port Clinton. Don was one of the rare Cleveland sports fans who lived to witness an Indians, Browns and Cavaliers championship in his lifetime!
Don was a dedicated member of Dr. Martin Luther Church for many years.
Family will receive friends at the Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, OH on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 4 – 8 p.m.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4470 Ridge Road, Brooklyn, OH 44144 at 10 a.m. with visitation at church from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
