David M. Hobe

Age 72

Passed away peacefully on August 10, 2022 with family at his side after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Beloved husband of Mary Jo (nee Zweidinger) for 52 years; loving father of Derek Hobe and Kristen Laughlin (Brian); cherished grandfather of Maria and Michael; dear brother of Vaughn (Marj), Harry (Gwen), Liz Bolek (Jeff), Joe (Patty), and Susan Pfleiderer (Terry); dear brother-in-law of Jim and Patty Zweidinger.

Co-founder of Hobe & Lucas CPA’s. Former treasurer of the Cleveland Hiking Club. Avid reader and bridge player.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44136 at 11:30 a.m. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Strongsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in David’s memory to UH Seidman Cancer Center.
