Catherine M. (Shangula) Filipic

“Darling” Catherine Doris Monica Shangula Filipic was born on March 2, 1924 in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania and passed away on November 18, 2022 in North Royalton, Ohio.

Beloved wife of Peter (deceased); devoted daughter of Susan and Andrew Shangula (both deceased); Catherine was the loving sister of eight deceased siblings and she is survived by one sister: Bernadine Donahue (Don, deceased) of Pasadena, California. best mother of five children: Anne (Ken) (both deceased), Peter Andrew (Marie, deceased), Michael, Elizabeth Reeder, and Anthony (Sharon); loving grandmother of Megan (Brian) and Michael (Ashley); cherished great grandmother of Amelia Joyce, Jasper Brian, Anthony Liam, and Emery Grace.

She will be remembered and missed by many friends, neighbors, nieces, and nephews. Generally happy by nature, she was full of mischief and was often heard singing. The love she shared, straight from her heart, was well felt by family, friends and especially her children and will remain in their hearts forever. THANK YOU, MOM, FOR THE GREAT START, THE GREAT FINISH, AND EVERYTHING IN-BETWEEN.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 5891 Ridge Road, Parma, Ohio 44129 on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Private Interment.
