CORA (Boesger) BENES

Age 86. Dear wife of Raymond (deceased); beloved mother of Brian Benes , Bonnie Fitzsimmons (David), and Becky Benes; grandmother of Raymond and Brian Charles Benes;  Jessica Cora, Ryan, and Taylor Fitzsimmons; and Brittany and Brenden Hertelendy; dear sister of Harold Max, Jr. (deceased), Alan and Dottie, Richard Hayes (deceased) and Adrienne, Leonard Eugene and Betty.  devoted daughter of Ann and Harold Boesger (both deceased); granddaughter of Max and Cora “BB” Boesger, and Warren and Jennie Hayes of Kent, OH (all deceased) . Private Family Services were held.

Cora spent her early days at the Wischmeyer Hotel in Bay Village. After graduating Lincoln High School, Cora was married at Pilgrim Congregational Church. She went to work for W. Bingham Company and later moved to Republic Steel which later became LTV Steel, retiring in March 2000.

During these days, she was a den mother and became active in drum and bugle, traveling throughout the United States. Her favorite days were spent in Bay Village in the summer with “BB”, who taught her to pray "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, if I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take."
