Beth Rudo (Straka) of Parma, passed away on April 29th, 2024.
Celebrating her memory, she leaves behind nephews Richard (Geraldine), Ronald (Rosalie), John Robert (Katie) Straka, nieces Ruth (Jerry, deceased) Leslie and Rebecca (Tom) Tankovich, and devoted sister-in-law, Louise Rudo. Loving and adoring aunt to thirteen; great-aunt to twenty-three and great-great aunt to twenty-seven. She was welcomed into heaven by her loving husband, James Rudo, who passed away all too soon after only fourteen years of marriage, her parents John and Barbara (Ontko) Straka, sister Mary and brother John. Also preceding her in death were sisters-in-law Amelia, Irene and Joan, and brothers-in-law Jack and Steve.
Beth was born in Campbell, OH and moved to Cleveland in the 1950s. She was employed by Dow Corning / Dow Chemical until she retired in 1991.
Beth was a parishioner and devoted member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Parma. She enjoyed Sunday dinner with her family, especially sister-in-law Amelia, meeting her co-workers for breakfast for many years following retirement and visiting family and friends, and was an avid reader.
Nothing, however, could compare to the love she had for her multitude of nieces and nephews and celebrating all of the milestones in their lives. She NEVER missed a birthday, anniversary, or graduation. Beth was the first person everyone called when they needed something – and will continue to be the first one praying for all of us.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Mount Alverna Nursing Home for the care they showed Beth and all of the wonderful bingo games to which she looked forward, and to Hospice of Western Reserve, including the vigil volunteers.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 6822 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134 from 11:30 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made In Honor of Beth Rudo to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church.
